Controversy Summary

Carbone Capture and storage (CCS) may become the best way to keep carbone from being released in the atmosphere by storage it down in the ground. Few projects were already lauched in Scotland and few scientifical meetings were organized in south of France in Lacq to see if CCS can be part of an ecological evolution. But, many issues are at stake: the economical way to finance it, the possibility or not to storage it easily. It implies the capture of carbone during the combustion of fossiles fuels, its transport to an appropriate place and its injection in the ground to prevent it to go on the atmosphere.
