  • Why did we build this website?

This website has been realized in the context of the class 'Controversy Mapping' developed by Bruno Latour. Mapping a controversy is a complex task that requires accuracy and exhaustiveness. The aim is to present an overview of a technical or scientific controversy to make it accessible to lay people. This participate to enact the view that science is not an objective process constructed by experts and transmitted vertically. It is on the contrary linked to many social and political variables.
