Having collated 118 academic articles that discussed bioethanol production in Brazil resulting from sugarcane, we assessed the trends in this field through an analysis of the abstracts provided. Our conclusions, illustrated in the graphs below, are as follows. Firstly, Brazilian bioethanol is a growing topic since the number of articles published each year continues to increase. Secondly, the countries that produce the largest quantities of biofuels are also the countries that publish the highest quantity of articles on the subject, namely Brazil and the USA. Lastly, we created a tagcloud to show the terms that most commonly appear in these articles and therefore illustrate the key terms and the links within the topic.
